OUR HISTORY

Four Decades of Shaping Energy Infrastructure

LEAD was founded by Nizar Assaad as a privately owned construction business building oil and gas infrastructure.

After four decades of success and growth, LEAD was firmly established as a key player in the Middle East & North African region. LEAD’s success is built on its core and longstanding commitment to safety and quality.

LEAD has delivered treatment plants, power plants, gas and oil facilities and pipelines, and a multitude of petrochemical projects. Recent projects include the Ain Tsila Development Pipeline Project, based in Algeria.

In March 2024, LEAD became the Lead Energy Group (LEG), run by Nizar Assaad’s children: Jamil Assaad and Nada Assaad as well as their business partner, Marwan Al Zein.

The next generation of leaders remain committed to safety and quality, the core principles that will continue to drive LEG’s success.
